Virtual WiFi Device not found - what to do?
If Virtual Router shows you the error message "Wifi device not found", the wrong settings have been selected under Windows. We'll show you how to get the Virtual Router up and running again.
Virtual Roter: WiFi Device not found - troubleshooting
- First confirm the error message with "OK" and click on the "Stop Virtual Router" button.
- Open the Control Panel and select the "Network and Sharing Center" under the "Network and Internet" category.
- Click on the "Change adapter settings" option on the left and select the adapter whose signal you wanted to share with the virtual router during setup.
- Right-click on the "WiFi" adapter, for example, and select "Properties".
- Go to the "Sharing" tab above and activate the option "Allow other users on the network to use this connection from the computer as an Internet connection".
- Then select the name of the previously created virtual network and close the window with "OK".
- Click the "Start Virtual Router" button again if the error no longer occurs.
