VirtualBox: Create shared folders
In this practical tip, we will show you how to create a VirtualBox shared folder.
Create shared folders in VirtualBox
- Install the guest extension in the virtual machine in which you want to create a shared folder.
- Then start the virtual machine via the VirtualBox main menu and click on "Devices" in the menu at the top of the screen.
- Choose "Shared Folders". Click the plus icon on the right to create a new folder.
- Select the desired path and enter a name for the folder. Also check the "Include automatically" box.
- Confirm by clicking on "OK". You can now find the corresponding folder under "Network" as a network drive.
