Visual Voicemail - what is it?
You can set up a visual voicemail on your iPhone. But what is that anyway? This is a small answering machine that complements the ordinary mailbox with various features, making it suitable for smartphones.
Visual Voicemail - the most important facts
- If voicemail is not activated, you have to proceed differently depending on the network provider. At T-Mobile, an SMS with the content "VVM" to the speed dial 3011 (free of charge) is sufficient. In the Vodafone and 1 & 1 network, call the 5500 and select "Mailbox settings"> "Notification options"> "Visual voicemail".
- If you then tap Voicemail in the normal telephone app, you still have to set a password and speak a greeting.
- New voice messages are marked with a blue dot (like emails). You can listen to all messages as often as you like and pause playback in the middle of the message or fast forward and rewind within the message.
- Note that the mobile data must be activated so that callers can leave a message.
