Vivaldi: Finding and installing skins
So far it has not been possible for the Vivaldi browser to find and install skins. However, there is another way to change the look. In this practical tip, we show you what that is and how you can give Vivaldi a new look.
Change themes in the Vivaldi browser
Vivaldi, like Google Chrome, is based on Chromium themes from the Chrome Web Store, but they don't work. You can, however, influence the display of Vivaldi to a small extent.
- In Vivaldi, click on the menu icon at the top right so that a context menu opens.
- Move the mouse down to the "Tools" entry and select the "Settings" option.
- A new window will appear. On the right tab, click the "Appearance" tab.
- Here you can basically choose between the color schemes "light" and "dark".
- In addition, you can, for example, influence the placement of the address bar or the menu button.
- After restarting the browser, the changes take effect.
This tip refers to Vivaldi 1.0.344.37 (Beta 2). In the next article we will show you how the chic successor to Opera beats the top dogs in the test.
