Vivaldi: Change the default search engine - how it works
If you want to use a different standard search engine with Vivaldi, you can easily change it in the browser settings. In this practical tip we will show you how.
Change the standard search engine in the Vivaldi browser
- Start Vivaldi on your computer.
- Then click on the menu button in the form of the Vivaldi symbol at the top left.
- Then move the mouse pointer over the "Tools" item in the context menu and click on "Settings". Alternatively, open the settings with the key combination [ALT] + [P].
- In the left tab you will now find the "Search" item.
- Here you can either choose from a preset search engine (Bing, DuckDuckGo, Yahoo !, Wikipedia and Google), or enter another search service using "Add new search".
- After you have ticked the respective search engine, it is defined as the new standard in the Vivaldi browser.
