VLC: Play and convert 3D films to 2D - how it works
If you have films in 3D, you can also convert and play them in 2D with the VLC Media Player. We have summarized all the information in this practical tip for you.
Convert and play 3D films in VLC to 2D - so it'll work
- Go to "Tools"> "Settings" in the options of the media player.
- Click on "All" at the bottom under "Show settings".
- Then click on "Video" on the left and enter the double ratio under "Aspect ratio". For example, for 16: 9, enter 32:18.
- Save the values and exit the VLC player. Then start the program again and open the video via "Media"> "Open file".
- Now open the "Effects and Filters" under "Tools" and switch to the "Video Effects"> "Crop" tab.
- Enter half of the actual size in "Right". At 1920 x 1080p, enter 960 there.
- After you have closed the window with "Close", you can easily watch your 3D video as 2D video in VLC.
