VLC: Show FPS - how it works
If you want to find out the FPS of a video, you can display the frames per second with the VLC player. You can find out how to do this in this practical tip.
Show FPS rate in VLC player
- To do this, start the video in the VLC player from which you want to find out the FPS rate.
- Then go to "Tools"> "Codec Information" at the top of the tab or press the key combination [Ctrl] + [J].
- After the point "Refresh rate" you will now find the frames per second.
- Note: Unfortunately, the FPS number cannot be directly integrated into the video as an overlay.
