VLC player: recording doesn't sound - that's why
If the VLC player does not output any sound during a recording, there can be several reasons. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
VLC media player does not output sound when recording
- Click on "Audio" at the top of the menu bar and check whether the "Audio track" is activated, the correct "Audio device" has been selected and the "Sound off" option is deactivated.
- You will also find the "Settings" under "Tools" in the menu bar. Go to the "Audio" category on the left. If you do not notice any abnormalities here, click on the "Reset settings" button below.
- Click on the loudspeaker symbol in the lower right corner of the task bar and select the "Mixer" there. Here the VLC player should not be turned quieter than other applications.
- If none of this helps, uninstall the VLC player and then download the current version from the VLC player.
