VLC player: subtitles asynchronous - what to do?
Subtitles to films often run slightly or strongly asynchronously, but you can solve this problem yourself in VLC Media Player. We'll show you how it's done.
Switch subtitles in the VLC media player synchronously
- Open the video in the VLC media player and click on "Tools" in the menu bar at the top and select "Track synchronization".
- Under "Subtitles / Video" you will find the "Subtitle synchronization". Here you can now move the time of the subtitle fade in or out. To do this, click on the up or down arrow (see picture).
- First estimate a value here and click on the "Close" button. Now look how synchronously the subtitle runs. Repeat this process until the subtitle is synchronized with the sound output.
This practical tip was carried out with version 2.0.8 under Windows 8. This practical tip explains how to activate and deactivate subtitles in VLC.
