VLC Player: Play video or music in an endless loop
If you would like to play video or music files in the VLC player in an endless loop, you only have to press a button. We'll show you how it's done.
Play films or music in the VLC media player in a continuous loop
- Start the VLC Media Player and click on "Media" in the menu bar on the top left.
- Select a desired option here such as "Open file", "Open folder" or "Open medium". In this example we choose "Open folder".
- A new window opens in which you now have to select the file, folder or medium. Then click on the "Open" button.
- The files are now started automatically. To start the infinite loop, click on the corresponding button below. This consists of two arrows that form a circle (see picture).
- If you click the button once, all selected songs will be included in the endless loop. If you press it again, only the current song will be repeated continuously. The loop only ends when you click the button again.
In this practical tip, you can read what you can do if the subtitle in the VLC player runs asynchronously.
