VLC: Show video frame-by-frame
The function to play a video frame-by-frame in the VLC player is a little hidden in the menu. Here you can find out how to activate and use the setting.
VLC player: How to display a video frame by frame
- Open the VLC player.
- Then go to the tab "Tools"> "Customize user interface ...".
- On the left, under "Toolbar Elements", locate the icon with the filmstrip and a downward arrow in it. The symbol is subtitled with "Frame by Frame".
- You can now drag and drop the symbol to the right in "Line 1".
- Then the frame for frame button can also be seen in the main bar of VLC.
- If you now play a video and select the symbol, you can view the film frame by frame.
