If Vodafone is down and you no longer have an Internet or cell phone network, there may be a problem. How to check whether it is really due to Vodafone or a device error.
Vodafone's cell phone network is down
If your cell phone shows "No network" or you can no longer make calls, this can be due to Vodafone but there are also other causes.
- First switch off your cell phone and remove the battery. Put the battery back in and switch it on again after a few minutes.
- Check whether your SIM card is not properly inserted and therefore you have no network coverage.
- You may be in a place (e.g. strong metal building) where you have no network coverage. If possible, change locations and see if anything changes.
- Also check your contract data to see if your contract is still current. Or check the credit on a prepaid card.
- If all of this does not help or is not the case, please contact Vodafone customer service.
Vodafone down - DSL connection
You are using your DSL connection via Vodafone and you have a problem with your internet connection? Again, you can check whether it is Vodafone or not.
- Check the firewall settings on your PC. The most common reason for Internet connection problems is due to incorrect firewall settings. Briefly switch off the firewall and check the connection again.
- Reboot your router. Switch it off and disconnect it from the mains for a few minutes and then switch it on again.
- Check the parental controls on your router. This often prevents the connection to the Internet. Reset your router to factory settings to undo unwanted settings.
- Check the Internet connection with another receiving device, for example a cell phone or tablet.
