Configure Vodafone EasyBox - how it works
You can easily configure your EasyBox using your browser and make security settings, for example. You can find out exactly how this is done in this practical tip.
Configure the Vodafone EasyBox - this is how you proceed
You can configure your Easybox either with the address "easy.box" or the IP "192.168.0.1" with your access data:
- When setting up for the first time, you should use the "Wizard". This will guide you through the setup of your router.
- For security reasons, we recommend that you change the access data. To do this, switch to the "Tools" tab and select "Login settings" on the left. Here you can adjust the access name and password. Changes are applied by clicking on "Apply". Use a secure password (see video).
- You should also assign a password to your WLAN so that no one else can use it. To do this, click on the "WLAN" option on the "Homepage". Under "Network key" you can set an individual WiFi password. For security reasons, you should change this regularly. Save with "Apply".
- You can also limit your WiFi time. Switch it off at night, for example. This works in the WLAN menu under "Timer".
- Under "Extras"> "Firmware update" you can also search for new company goods for your EasyBox. You should do this regularly, because updates close possible security gaps.
- You can also save the settings here or import them from a file.
- If there are problems with the Internet connection, a restart may be sufficient. You can also do this easily in the menu. To do this, switch to the "Tools" tab and click on "Restart" on the left. You can then restart by clicking on "Restart".
