Vodafone: Internet access data - here you can find them
If you want to set up your router again, Vodafone will not make it very easy for you to obtain the access data again. In this practical tip, we will show you how to get the necessary information.
View Vodafone access data via the router
Since the access data are stored directly in the router, you can also read them out there. However, this method does not work with all routers.
- To read out access data, you first need a special program such as "RouterPassView".
- Then call up the menu of your router.
- There you create a backup of the settings. In the Fritz.Box, go to "System" and then to the "Save Settings" option.
- Then read this back-up into "RouterPassView". The program then shows you the access data in plain text.
Call the Vodafone hotline to obtain access data
If that doesn't work, you need to contact the Vodafone hotline.
- All information on how to contact Vodafone customer service can be found in the next practical tip.
- There you ask the employee whether he can send you the access data.
- Make sure you have your data ready so that the Vodafone employee can verify it.
