If you want to scale a program to the full screen size, you can activate the full screen mode with a key combination. We'll tell you exactly how this works in this article
Shortcut: Activate full screen mode in all programs
If you switch to full-screen mode, the program bar at the top of the window disappears and the task bar is hidden. So you can use the entire space of your screen for a program or game.
- With normal software such as Windows Explorer, web browsers or other programs, the key combination for full-screen mode is always the same: Just press the [F11] key when the respective program window is in the foreground. You can exit full screen mode in the same way.
- With games, however, it looks a little different. Here you should first look in the respective game settings to see whether you can find an option for full-screen mode there. If this is not the case, you can use the key combination [Alt] + [Enter] to switch between window and full screen mode - if the game supports the latter.
