If you try to log out of the Google Play Store, you cannot do it in the settings of the app on Android. In this practical tip, you can read how you can easily unsubscribe.
Sign out of the Google Play Store - It's that easy:
You won't find a "Sign Out" button in the Google Play Store. In all Google Apps that run through your Google Account, you will be automatically logged in as soon as the app is installed.
However, if you still want to unsubscribe, just follow these steps:
- Open the settings on your Android smartphone.
- Select the "Users & Accounts" item. Here you can see a list of all accounts with which you are logged in on your smartphone.
- Now tap on "Google".
- If you are logged in with several Google accounts at the same time, you must first select the desired account. If not, you will be automatically redirected to the account settings.
- On this screen you can change the synchronization behavior of your Google account and also remove the Google account from this device. To do this, tap the three dots at the top right and then select "Remove account".
- Depending on the Android version you have and the manufacturer of the device, the appearance of the settings may differ. As in the photo, you may need to tap "Remove" below and confirm in the next step.
- Please note that a Google account is required for the full use of Android devices. After removing the account, you will no longer be able to download apps from the Play Store and many of your apps will stop working.
- Removing the Google Account will not delete your account - it will only be removed from your device. Data that is linked to your Google account and only stored on your device will be deleted. Other data such as emails from Gmail and other synchronized data remain stored in the cloud.
