If you want to know whether other people have blocked you via iPhone, you cannot say with absolute certainty. However, there are several indications that clearly indicate a blockage.
Blocked by iPhone: Messages are not received
- If you suspect that an iPhone user has blocked you, the first thing you should try is to send a message. To do this, use iMessage in the Messages app. If a message is sent via iMessage, it will appear blue in the chat (see picture).
- You can also send your messages to the person if they have been blocked. If after a while the message "Read" appears under the message, you have not been blocked.
- If the read status is not displayed, this does not mean with certainty that you have been blocked. If the user has deactivated the read confirmation in iMessage, this method is not suitable for analyzing a block.
Blocked by others via iPhone: the call test
- The most effective way to confirm the blocking is by calling. Call the person and it rings only once, you may have been blocked by the person. The mailbox will pick up even if you have been blocked. However, your message will not be forwarded.
- However, the mobile phone may also be switched off or in flight mode. Therefore, you will need to make a few more calls over time to confirm the suspicion.
- If you were blocked, you can find it out quite reliably this way. If you have not been blocked, you have made several calls to the contact. In the worst case, this can still lead to blocking.
