Change from PS3 to PS4: operation and accessories
- The Dualshock 3 controller does not work with the Playstation 4. The Dualshock 4 pad comes with great additional settings such as a share button, a touchpad and speakers.
- The Playstation eye camera common on the PS3 is also not supported. Sony has equipped the new camera with a higher resolution, four microphones and two lenses. Faces and voice commands are also recognized.
- At least the illuminated Move controllers don't have to be dusted up in the drawer. The controllers are fully compatible with the PS4, but are currently only used in a handful of games. There is no information about new revised Move controllers.
PlayStation 4 does not recognize PS3 discs

PS4: Advanced entertainment package
If you are a fan of videos, films, CDs and other optical formats, you should prepare yourself for a new kind of entertainment. Because the PS4 relies entirely on streaming and downloads.
- 3D blurays were still played on the PS3, but the PS4 no longer recognizes these discs.
- In contrast to the PS3, audio CDs cannot be played on the new console.
- Files such as films, photos or music cannot be read on external storage devices such as sticks or hard drives. Except for the purpose of saving games, USB storage media can no longer be used on the PS4.
Tip: Be sure to download the PS4 patch beforehand
