From WLAN to HDMI - how to set up the connection
With suitable adapters, you can stream your films and videos from WLAN to HDMI. Admittedly, the connection is a bit unusual, but still quick and easy to set up.
Stream from WiFi to HDMI - so go ahead
Instead of using kilometers of cables, you can use a suitable adapter and set up the HDMI connection via WLAN:
- To do this, you first need a suitable adapter (transmitter). You can buy it on the Internet or in any specialty store.
- Plug the transmitter into the HDMI port of the transmitter while plugging the receiver into the HDMI port of the receiver.
- You do not have to make any further settings. Switch on both devices and select the respective HDMI port on the receiver (the TV or monitor).
- However, make sure that the two devices are not too far apart, otherwise the WLAN connection may be interrupted.
- If there are problems or the signal is too weak, you should change the WLAN channel in the router.
We will tell you in the next practical tip whether there are any differences in the HDMI cables.
