Connect preamplifier - how it works
Various devices such as turntables require a preamplifier. You can connect this to your devices to prepare the signal for your hi-fi system or loudspeaker.
Connect the preamplifier correctly
Whether you actually need a preamplifier depends on various factors. Newer devices have often already integrated them.
- It is best to switch off all devices first, or disconnect the preamplifier from the power.
- Take a cable with which you can connect your source device (eg a record player) to the preamplifier. This is usually a cinch cable.
- Make sure that you connect the cable to the part of the preamplifier marked with the word "Input".
- Then repeat this step with the sockets in the "Output" area and connect the preamplifier to your system or speakers.
- Now you can turn on all devices and enjoy your music.
