Warm light: LED or halogen lamp?
Warm light or lower energy consumption - until now that meant either halogen or LED lamps. In this practical tip, we clarify whether this rule still applies or which lamp emits the warmer light.
Cozy evenings with warm light
Previously, when it came to light, you had to decide whether to focus on energy-saving or cozy, warm light.
- A warm white light is usually perceived as pleasant, for example by inexpensive halogen lamps.
- You pay for this cosiness with conventional halogen lamps with a high power consumption. However, the energy requirement was significantly reduced in the further development of halogen lamps, the halogen savers.
- In contrast, the LED lamp consumes considerably less energy. For a long time, the LED lights were cried for their cold light.
- However, that has changed in the meantime. You can now also get the extremely low-energy LED lamps with a warm white light.
- When buying the lamp, make sure that the LED light has no more than 2700 Kelvin, or that the color is "warm white".
