What is Amazon Payments? Easily explained
What Amazon Payments is, the name itself suggests a little: it's about paying. More specifically, you pay for goods purchased with Amazon Payments when shopping online. This is to prevent you from losing money when shopping through dubious providers.
Requirements for paying with Amazon Payments
With the help of Amazon Payments, payments with online shopping are to be made easier and also a bit more secure. In order for you to be able to participate, however, two basic requirements must be met.
- The corresponding online shop must participate in the Amazon payment system.
- You too must already have an Amazon account.
- If you have an Amazon account, you will see the "Your other accounts" area on the far right after logging in. There you will also find your "Amazon Payments Account".
Pay with Amazon Payments - Here's how
You can usually tell whether an online shop is participating in Amazon Payments by the payment options listed. You can find these in most online shops under the heading "Payment methods".
- If you have completed your purchase in one of the participating online shops, click on the yellow button "Login with Amazon" in the payment method.
- Then just enter your email address and the password of your Amazon account.
- In this case, you do not provide your personal data such as address and account details.
- If you use Amazon Payments, Amazon grants you the same buyer protection that you enjoy when you buy directly from Amazon.
If you don't want to reveal your account details, paying with vouchers on Amazon is a good option.
