Drag and drop - how it works
Drag and drop stands for drag and drop. With the drag-and-drop function, you can click on elements and move them while holding down the mouse button.
- Left-click on the file you want to move and keep the button pressed.
- Now move the file to the location where you want to save it. Keep the left mouse button pressed.
- Now release the mouse button when the cursor is on the new folder.
Drag and drop use
- With drag and drop, you can move and copy files quickly and easily.
- When you drag a file onto a program, the application starts and the file opens. For example, if you drag a Word document onto a Word link, the file opens.
- You can also often upload files using drag and drop. If this is offered, you will usually also be told exactly where to move the file.
