An iPhone is a smartphone from the California company Apple that runs with the company's own iOS operating system.
- The first iPhone was presented by Steve Jobs, Apple's then CEO, in 2007.
- The iPhone was the first smartphone to combine a web browser with a music player and the telephone and messaging functions of a cell phone.
- The iPhone is operated almost exclusively via a multi-touch screen. That means the screen reacts to your touch.
- The iPhone is delivered with Apple's iOS operating system. There are some apps pre-installed, such as a mail program, a calendar, a web browser or the phone and message app.
- The latest model of the iPhone is the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus with a larger screen.
- The iPhone 6 costs about 699 euros and the iPhone 6 Plus about 799 euros. You get 64GB or 128GB instead of 16 GB of internal memory for an additional € 100 each.
- In the meantime, more than 700 million iPhones have been sold (as of March 2015).
