If you search for certain terms with the Google search engine, you will see the appropriate website in the search results. Sometimes there are also advertisements that were placed via Google Adwords. It works like this:
- If you want to make sure that your website is displayed on Google with suitable search terms, you can place an ad. For example, if you have a handicraft business in Cologne, place an ad for the search term "handyman Cologne". Every user who searches for these terms on Google sees your website in the search results within the first positions.
- The ad is initially free of charge. As soon as users click on the ad and thus get to the website, a predetermined amount is due for you.
- Google Adwords promises to use the service to direct customers to their websites.
