- Instagram Stories is similar to the well-known Snapchat function: The photos and videos that have been uploaded automatically disappear after 24 hours. However, the user can delete them earlier.
- A single story can consist of different elements: photos, videos and boomerangs can be used.
- There is no comment or like function for Instagram Stories. You can only receive or send direct messages.
- Unless other settings are used, followers can see all stories directly when opening the home screen - this creates additional reach, which can also be worthwhile for companies.
Use Instagram Stories: Here's how
If you want to use the additional reach of Instagram Stories for yourself, then you should set stories yourself. The following options are available:
- The story function can be seen at the top of Instagram's home screen. To do this, the app must be up to date. You must also be logged in.
- Simply tap on your profile picture - you can upload pictures as usual or create new photos or videos directly.
- For example, you can add stickers to your pictures or, as usual, filters. It is also possible to paint directly with the finger, texts can also be typed in or friends can be marked.
- You can find statistics on your story by opening your story and then swiping up. There you will find information, for example, about who viewed your story and how many views it received.
- You can view the stories of other users by clicking on their profile picture. Then simply swipe left or right to view all stories in sequence.
