What is USB debugging?
"Debugging" describes the process of searching for errors in a software (bugs) and eliminating them. When USB debugging is activated, your smartphone (or tablet) is put into debugging mode when connected to your PC via a USB cable.
- In this way, log files can be viewed from a PC or files can be changed on the smartphone. If you want to root your smartphone, it may also be necessary to activate USB debugging beforehand.

USB debugging - enable developer options
To get access to USB debugging, you must first turn on the developer options. This is only necessary once. However, the exact names may vary slightly depending on the Android version and device manufacturer:
- Open the settings on your smartphone or tablet.

- Tap the Build Number item seven times.

How do I enable USB debugging?
