Drinking water with lemon is not only refreshing but also very healthy. The yellow fruit contains half of our daily requirement of vitamin C and is therefore a real health booster.

The consumption of water with lemon has some beneficial benefits. We recommend that you drink at least one glass of the health booster every day. At best, only use organic lemons, as they are untreated and free of pesticides.
- The high content of vitamin C stimulates the formation of collagen in the body. The lemon drink strengthens the skin, bones, joints, teeth and even hair. It also promotes wound healing after injuries and protects against skin aging.
- The drink also boosts hormone production. In addition to the happiness hormone serotonin, it also promotes the production of norepinephrine. This hormone is responsible for the metabolism and improves fat burning.
- In addition, the high acidity of the fruit supports the digestion of fatty and heavy meals. The pectin contained in the lemon peel also improves the intestinal flora.
- Another advantage of lemon water is that it is free of sugar and preservatives. The simple composition of the drink provides a healthy and inexpensive basis for the day.
- You can also warm up the lemon drink. This moisturizes the nasal mucosa and is therefore an ideal home remedy for flu. However, make sure that the water does not boil. Excessive temperatures destroy the nutrients and make the drink ineffective.
- Preparation: Halve a lemon and squeeze both halves. Mix the lemon juice with a liter of water and add the squeezed lemon peel. For the taste, you can also add a little lemon balm. Now you can enjoy your homemade lemon water either cold with ice cubes or warm.
