Dispose of the kettle: you should note this
You can dispose of an old kettle in different ways. In this article we will show you which options you have.
How to dispose of a kettle properly
If your kettle has had its day, you should not dispose of the household appliance in the residual waste bin.
- You can hand in small household appliances with a size of less than 25 centimeters free of charge at the electrical store or at the electrical retailer.
- The dealers are obliged to dispose of old devices if the store has a sales area of at least 400 square meters.
- The dealer will then dispose of your kettle properly. Incidentally, you do not have to have bought the device in this store and you do not have to provide proof of purchase.
- The recycling or recycling center generally accepts old kettles from private individuals free of charge.
Pass on a functioning kettle
If the kettle is still working properly and only has to make way for a new device, you can also give away your old kettle.
- Perhaps there is someone in your circle of acquaintances who would be happy about it, possibly as a second device for camping.
- There are also second-hand department stores that pass on functional electrical appliances to the needy at low cost.
- Then the kettle should still work properly and be clean. So clean the kettle thoroughly before dispensing.
