Remove watermark from PDF - is that possible?
You can use a trick to remove most watermarks from a PDF document. You can read how this works in this practical guide.
PDF: Remove watermark - how it works
Most watermarks can be removed after the PDF document has been converted to a Word file.
- Switch to the Small PDF web application.
- Click on "PDF in Word" and upload your PDF document by dragging it onto the corresponding area. Alternatively, select it from your computer by clicking on "Select file".
- After the conversion, download the file to your hard drive by clicking on "Download file" and open it with Word.
- Now click on the watermark. It can often be selected as a whole and deleted with the [Del] key.
- Alternatively, try placing the cursor in the watermark and deleting the letters of the watermark as normal text.
- To convert the Word file back to PDF, click "File"> "Save As" and select "PDF" as the file type.
Remove watermark with Photoshop or
- If Word cannot remove the watermark, you can use GIMP or Photoshop.
- Convert your PDF file into a JPG file using Small PDF as described above and open the file in an image editing program.
- Use the Magic Wand tool to crop and remove the watermark.
