Insert watermark in OpenOffice document - how it works
In OpenOffice you can insert a watermark in a document without additional plugins. You cannot really protect your document in this way, but you show at least formally that the document is copyrighted.
OpenOffice: add watermark to document
- Open OpenOffice-Writer and click on "Insert"> "Image"> "From file" in the settings bar.
- Now select an image that you want to use as a watermark and press "Open".
- The image and an associated menu bar now appear in the middle of your text document. In the bar you will find a dropdown menu that is currently set to "Standard". Click on it and select "Watermark" - the image will now appear more transparent.
- If necessary, you must now scale the image over the green dots and move it to the right place on the page.
- So that you can also place text in front of the watermark, right-click on the image and select "Circulation"> "In the background".
