Wavelab 7: pitch correction - how it works
Wavelab lets you pitch correct entire songs or parts of audio files. We'll tell you how to do it.
Pitch correction in Wavelab
A simple pitch correction can be done in just a few steps in Wavelab. You will find special settings in the image gallery. The simple pitch shifting of a marked area of an audio file is done in four small steps:
- Press the [P] key to access the Pitch Correction menu and click "Current Pitch of Audio Selection" to find out the pitch of the highlighted area.
- In the Change Value area, specify the number of semitones and cents (hundredths of a semitone) by which you want to increase or decrease the selection.
- In the "Procedure" area, select the quality of the correction and whether you place more value on temporality or frequency accuracy.
- With a click on "Apply" the pitch correction for the marked area is carried out. You can save the change or previous rendering.
Further practical tips will tell you how to normalize levels, create audio montages and save them as MP3s in Wavelab.
