WaveLab: Save the audio montage as an MP3 file
It is essential to save an audio montage as an MP3 file in the WaveLab music editing program - this is the only way you can play your montage later with music programs. We use WaveLab 7 to show you how it's done.
Save the audio montage with WaveLab as an .mp3 file
- Go to the lower right corner in WaveLab and click on "Calculate".
- If not already selected, check "Create final file".
- The coding "MP3 / Fraunhofer - 320 kbps" is already set by default.
- Choose a location and click "Ok".
- WaveLab now converts your audio montage into an MP3 file.
Save the audio montage as a WAVE file
If you want to continue working with the converted audio montage in WaveLab, the WAV format is more appropriate. You can also select this audio format with just a few clicks.
- Go to "Calculate".
- Click the "File Format" line.
- In the menu "Audio file format" go to "File type" and select "Wave (Microsoft)".
- Close the "Audio File Format" menu and click "Ok" to save the WAV file.
In addition to the paid program "WaveLab", there are also other recording studios for the PC. For example, "Audacity" is free. A short test including a download link can be found here.
