If your WD My Cloud flashes yellow, there can be various reasons for this, but you should definitely investigate it immediately.
- As soon as the yellow LED starts to flash, the drive temperature may have exceeded or fallen below. This is still a warning from your WD My Cloud. But you should take this first.
- If there is a risk of overheating, you should not wait until an LED lights up red permanently, because then it can be almost too late.
- Therefore, first switch off the device and wait until it has cooled down. If the scenario repeats itself after you have restarted the My Cloud, you should contact Western Digital customer service. If you still have a guarantee on your WD My Cloud, it is best to contact the retailer where you purchased the device.
