Sync WD My Cloud with your computer - Here's how
If you often use your notebook on the go, it’s convenient to sync your files with your WD My Cloud. We'll show you how it works.
Sync WD My Cloud with your computer - that's how it's done
- First download the synchronization software. The manufacturer offers them for download on its website for Windows or for your Mac.
- Before you can install the software, you have to unzip the downloaded ZIP file. You can either do this in Explorer or download WinZip.
- Run the extracted program and start the installation. It may take several minutes for your computer to do this.
- Once the installation is done, all of your My Cloud devices will be listed. Select the storage device with which you want to synchronize your files and then press »Next«.
- In some cases the setup dialog closes here. If so, right-click the blue WD icon in the lower right corner of the taskbar, then press WD Sync Settings. Then you can continue with the setup.
- Log in to your My Cloud and choose folders you want to sync. This completes the setup.
- If you want to change these settings later, right-click on the blue WD icon in the lower right of the taskbar. Then press WD Sync Settings.
