WD My Cloud: Standby is not possible - you can do that
With your WD My Cloud, you have your files at hand wherever you go. In this practical tip, we will tell you what you can do if standby does not work.
Standby is not possible with the WD My Cloud - so you solve the error
- In order for the My Cloud to switch to standby mode, you must have the latest company software installed.
- We recommend that you reset the My Cloud before you update.
- Note that if you have other apps or servers installed on the cloud, standby mode is disabled.
- You can therefore try to uninstall all My Cloud apps so that the standby mode is reactivated.
- In addition, you should deactivate all remote access in the settings and adjust the energy plan.
- Also disconnect the network cable from the My Cloud so that it can go into standby mode.
