Set up Web.de on Windows Phone - how it works
You can also check the emails of your Web.de account with the Windows Phone. Setting up the Web.de account on the Windows Phone is quick and easy.
Have the Web.de account set up automatically by the Windows Phone
- Go to "Settings" in the app list and select "Email accounts + others".
- Then click on "Add Account" and "Other Account".
- Now just enter the email address from your Web.de account and of course your password.
- Finally click on "Register", then your email account should be found and set up automatically.
- If, contrary to expectations, this is not the case, check all the information again. If your account is still not automatically found by the Windows Phone, you have to do it yourself.
Enter account settings manually on the Windows Phone
- For "Account Name" and "Your Name", enter whatever you want.
- Enter "pop3.web.de" (port 995) as the "incoming mail server" and write "POP3" for "account type".
- Enter your email address from Web.de in the "User name" field and the associated password in the "Password" field.
- The "outgoing mail server" is "smtp.web.de" (port 587).
- Finally, briefly review the information provided and then click on "Register".
