Remove Web.de Toolbar - Here's how
If you are bothered by the Web.de toolbar, you can simply remove this addon from your browser. This practical tip explains how to do this in Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Firefox.
Delete Web.de addon from Firefox
- Start Firefox and click on the three horizontal bars at the top right. Select the "Addons" item in the context menu.
- Then click on the "Extensions" option on the left.
- Now search for the Web.de toolbar.
- If you want to completely delete the addon from Firefox, click on the "Remove" button. If you would like to use the Web.de toolbar again, you can only temporarily switch it off by clicking "Deactivate".
- By restarting Firefox, the changes are saved.
Uninstall Toolbar from Web.de in Chrome
- Click again on the three horizontal bars in the top right corner of Chrome and move the mouse over the "Tools" option. Then click on "Extensions" in the context menu.
- Look for the Web.de toolbar in the list.
- To remove the extension completely, click on the trash can icon and confirm the selection with "Remove". If you would like to use the Web.de addon again later, you can only remove the checkmark at "Activated".
- Finally, restart Chrome.
Remove Web.de extension from Internet Explorer
- Close Internet Explorer if you have it open.
- Click "Start" and look for "Uninstall a program". Select the first search entry.
- Look for the entries of Web.de in the list.
- Select the Web.de addons with the mouse.
- Then press the "Uninstall" button and follow the instructions.
- If you now start Internet Explorer, you have removed the Web.de addons.
