Set up webmail from Domainfactory - how it works
Setting up a webmail account at Domainfactory is easy. You can then send and receive emails via a personal domain and are not dependent on the large mail providers with your standard domains. With offers starting at 55 cents per month, Domainfactory is also quite cheap. We'll show you how to set it up.
Set up a webmail account at Domainfactory
If you have already booked a mail or web hosting package from Domainfactory, you can skip steps 1 to 3 and get started with the actual setup of the mail addresses.
- Here you can book a mail package. The normal MyMail package is recommended for private use.
- The next step is to check whether your desired domain is still available. If this is the case, you can reserve the domain for ordering. Please note: Registration of the domain also incurs costs. However, these are also displayed in the list of costs.
- After entering your personal data and the payment options, your own mail domain is now available.
- Set up your webmail account in the customer menu of the Domainfactory.
- Under the main functions, click on the menu item "E-mail addresses / ManagedExchange".
- On the right side you will find an overview of your email addresses. Under this box, click on the "Create new email address" button.
- Enter the desired name of your email address and click on "Create classic mailbox".
- In the next menu you can choose different options. To set up your normal webmail account, the first option "... put in a POP3 / IMAP mailbox" makes sense.
- Pick a mailbox size.
- Assign a secure password.
- Click on "Apply all changes".
You will now see the server addresses that you need to query your mails via the mail program on your computer. But of course you can also query your mail via the web interface of the Domainfactory.
