Alarm clock only through headphones - how it works
If you only want to listen to the alarm clock on your iPhone or Android smartphone using headphones, you can do so easily. We show you how to do it here.
iPhone - alarm clock only through the headphones
- With iOS 10 or older, you can simply connect headphones to the iPhone. Then the alarm tone is only output via the headphones and not via the integrated loudspeaker.
- With iOS 11 or later, the sound is always played through the iPhone speaker. Unfortunately there is no setting option for this.
- With iOS 11, however, you have the option of loading an alarm clock app from the app store, where you can set the output of the alarm tone.
- Tip: The Private Alarm app offers the option of only playing the alarm clock using headphones.
Android - only play alarm via earphones
- With Android, the alarm tone is emitted by default via the integrated loudspeaker. Unfortunately, there is no setting option here either.
- To play the sound only through the headphones, you can download an alarm clock app. To do this, go to the PlayStore.
- Tip: Download the Sleep as Android app. Here you have the option of only issuing the alarm via the headphones.
