- FAT: The FAT versions FAT 12 and 16 have long been out of date, but are still supported. The adapted FAT32 and exFAT file systems are much more up-to-date.
- NTFS: The NTFS file format has been included since Windows XP, which, in contrast to FAT, also supports files from a size of 4 GB.
