Which ThinkPad series to take? These models suit you
If you want to buy a Leneovo ThinkPad, the first thing you should ask yourself is which series suits you. We show you what the individual series can do.
ThinkPad models: E and L series for beginners
Note: All prices mentioned are the basic prices from Lenovo. Many series are available in several models with different equipment. This can result in price differences of several hundred euros.
- E series: The two cheapest ThinkPad models can be found in the E series. From 599 euros you get either a model with a 14-inch or 15.6-inch display. The E series has a classic look and is best suited for office work. With the graphics card from AMD, gaming is also possible without any problems.
- L series: The L series starts at 649 euros for the 14-inch model, and starts at 30 euros higher for the 15.6-inch model. The business laptop has decent equipment, splash protection for the keyboard and various security systems. You can also work on the go via WWAN.

- Yoga: The ThinkPad Yoga is available with a display diagonal of 12.5 and 14 inches. The price starts at around 1, 140 euros. Thanks to the display, the notebook can be set in four different modes and thus also used as a tablet. Lenovo combines a powerful notebook with a tablet in one device.
- T series: The T series comes in four different models, the basic prices are between around 1, 100 and 1, 400 euros. Similar to the L series, you will not miss any function here. The higher price is justified primarily by the high robustness and the comparatively long battery life. This makes the laptop not only suitable for the office, but also for mobile use.
- X series: Place great value on the properties of the T series, but would like to be considerably more mobile, the X series is recommended. With the Ultrabooks or the tablet of the X series you get high performance and battery life. For prices from 1, 200 to 1, 900 euros, however, this goes without saying.
- P-Series: If you need maximum performance on the go, you should take a look at the P-Series. Gaming, graphics tasks and other complex work are no problem with this. For these laptops and tablets, however, a whopping 1, 750 to 2, 100 euros are also due.
