You can create a WhatsApp backup on your Android smartphone and iPhone in a few seconds. You can also choose to automatically create a backup. Our instructions will help you with this.
Create WhatsApp backup: Instructions for Android
- Open WhatsApp and tap the menu button.
- Select "Settings" and go to "Chat".
- Then tap "Chat backup" and you can now specify the details of the backup. With the presets you create a copy of all data in the internal memory of the smartphone.
- You can integrate the Google Drive cloud storage service here so that the backup is to be saved there. This often saves you several GB of storage space on the smartphone, but requires an internet connection for the backup.
- Alternatively, instead of "Chat backup" you can use the menu item below "Chat history". Here you can "export chat" and select the desired chat.
Create WhatsApp backup on iPhone
