With WhatsApp you can only send videos in certain video formats. We show which formats are compatible with WhatsApp and how you can send other formats.
WhatsApp supports these video formats
- With WhatsApp, you can only send videos in MP4 format that are up to 16 megabytes in size. You need to downsize larger videos.
- You can load other video formats into the cloud (for example at Google Drive & Dropbox) and then send the link to the video at WhatsApp.
- Alternatively, you can upload the video to an online converter, have it converted into the correct format and then send it.
