WhatsApp error: outdated version when updating
The error "WhatsApp Version too old" occurs out of the blue for some users - after a restart, after an update or just in the middle. Often several users are affected at once, unfortunately there is no model solution to the problem.
- First check in the Google Play Store or the App Store whether a new version of WhatsApp is available and download it. You can find the current WhatsApp version alternatively in the app area of CHIP Online for Android and iOS.
- A simple restart of your smartphone can solve the problem in some cases. Therefore, restart your device and try again.
- If the previous tips bring no improvement, you only have to reinstall WhatsApp. Delete the app and download it again.
- Tip: So that your chats are not lost, you should have activated backup via iCloud or Google Drive beforehand. On Android smartphones and Windows Phones, you can also back up your WhatsApp data manually from the SD card.
