WhatsApp: With these tricks you can bypass the new forwarding lock
In mid-January 2019, a forwarding block from WhatsApp was used to prevent the spread of spam. We show you how to bypass them and still send a message to many contacts at the same time.
WhatsApp forwarding block: what's behind it?
Previously it was possible to forward a message received on WhatsApp to all of your contacts. Since fake news and chain letters have been forwarded frequently via WhatsApp, the provider has set up a forwarding block.
- Since the update, it is no longer possible worldwide to forward a message to more than 5 contacts at the same time.
- There is also another feature that highlights forwarded messages in chat. This enables recipients to recognize whether the message comes directly from the sender or whether it is forwarded.
How to bypass the lock
If you still want to send a WhatsApp message to many of your contacts, you have several options.
- The simplest but most time-consuming method is using copy and paste. In this way you can copy the content of the received message, paste it manually in each chat and send the message.
- Alternatively, the same message can be forwarded several times, thus sending the message to five other contacts each time it is forwarded. However, this method is tedious for a large number of recipients.
- The best way to send a message to many contacts is by using the broadcast function. You can send a message to up to 256 contacts at the same time. For example, if you want to send a message of the same name to all contacts on New Year's Day, you can do it in no time.
