WhatsApp Multi-Sharing: Forward messages to multiple contacts - how it works
The latest WhatsApp beta has been expanded with multi-sharing with another useful feature. Multi-sharing allows you to share messages or pictures from other chats with multiple contacts that have already been sent at the same time. We will introduce you to the new function in detail and reveal how you can already use multi-sharing.
Multi-sharing with WhatsApp - how it works
Thanks to the new multi-sharing function, you can select multiple recipients if you forward messages, pictures or videos within WhatsApp.
- To do this, start Messenger and look for the desired message in one of your chats.
- Hold the message for a few seconds to highlight it.
- Then tap on the arrow symbol in the top right corner. A list with all your WhatsApp contacts opens.
- Here you set a tick for each recipient at the touch of a finger. Finally, forward the message to your contacts using the green arrow at the bottom right.
WhatsApp: activate and use multi-sharing
Multi-sharing is not yet available for all WhatsApp users. Instead, the developers are currently only testing the function in the beta version of WhatsApp. If you can't wait until multi-sharing is officially released, you can already install the beta version on your Android device.
- To do this, download this APK file from WhatsApp and install the app on your mobile phone. You can find detailed instructions in another article.
- To ensure that nothing goes wrong when you switch to the beta version, you should create a WhatsApp backup as a precaution.
- iPhone users can unfortunately not test a beta version of WhatsApp. That is why it says here: Be patient and wait for an official release of the function.
Not only is the multi-sharing function new to WhatsApp: Messenger has recently been sharing its data with Facebook.
