Overview of WhatsApp costs
You can get WhatsApp free of charge from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Both download and registration are free of charge.
- However, if you have used WhatsApp with your cell phone number for a year, you will be asked to checkout. You can pay via the respective app store or via PayPal.
- If you want to use WhatsApp for another year, it costs 89 cents. If you believe in the future of WhatsApp, you will receive a 3-year subscription for just 2.40 euros and a 5-year subscription for 3.34 euros.
- Note: iPhone users who registered with WhatsApp with their cell phone number before June 2013 can use Messenger for free for life.
