Remove WhatsApp virus Priyanka safely
At WhatsApp, a virus called "Priyanka" is up to mischief and changes the names of your previous contacts, among other things. You can remove the pest in a few simple steps - we will show you how.
Remove Priyanka virus from WhatsApp - Here's how it works
However, if you have previously accidentally saved this malicious contact, you must carefully remove it again to protect your own and the contacts of your WhatsApp friends:
- Before the procedure, first deactivate all external data connections such as Internet, WLAN or Bluetooth on the device. Then start WhatsApp and delete the relevant contact manually.
- In order to remove all remnants of the virus, you also have to delete the data stored on your mobile phone by WhatsApp and set up the system from scratch.
- Most of the conversations you lost in the process are later reconstructed from the automatic backups - but unfortunately it is seldom possible to really restore everything.
- After disconnecting the data connections, open the settings of the smartphone. Select "Apps" and look for "Whatsapp" in the list. Then tap on "Force stop" and confirm the query with "OK".
- Now tap on "Delete data" and confirm this with "OK". Then restart WhatsApp. The app now prompts you to repeat the setup. Your contacts and conversations will be restored from backed up backups after you log in again with your phone number. Everything that is not here is unfortunately irretrievably lost.
