WhatsApp is being optimized "- How to fix the error message
If WhatsApp displays the message "WhatsApp is being optimized" for a long time, you should intervene. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
"WhatsApp is being optimized" - End the process
The message is displayed whenever a major update for WhatsApp has been installed and you start the app for the first time.
- Wait: Depending on the device, the process may take a little longer. Usually the message disappears after a few seconds. If your smartphone is a bit older and a lot of data has been collected in WhatsApp, you have to wait a few minutes. In rare cases, you should give the app up to 15 minutes.
- Quit app: If there is no improvement in sight, quit the app and then open it again. The process is then either canceled or restarted.
- Restart: A restart of the smartphone can also help. Small errors in the buffer are thus deleted.
WhatsApp: End optimization
- Memory: If the memory of your smartphone is full, the process cannot be completed. Just delete a big app like Facebook that doesn't store important data. Once WhatsApp optimization is complete, you can install it again.
- Android: You can easily reset WhatsApp on Android smartphones. Open the "Apps" category in the "Settings" app and select "WhatsApp". Tap here on the button "Clear data" and "Clear cache".
- Reset: If none of this helps, you have no choice but to delete WhatsApp and reinstall it. If you have previously backed up, you can restore the data afterwards.
In the next practical tip, we will show you how to restore your WhatsApp history.
